We’ve been getting numerous inquiries as to when the hotel registration will be open and when the event registration will be open as well. We understand that everyone is anxious to register and make their plans for travel to Chicago this summer.
Registration is not open at this time for the hotel and the event. We will make an announcement as to when both registrations are available to the public. There will be a special room block code that you will need to use once registration for the Hilton is open.
Right now, we are working out some details concerning our non-profit status and our bank accounts. This needs to happen first before we start taking in monies. We apologize for the delay and hope to make an announcement withint the next few weeks when we can open the registration process.

side note: will SLers need to upload a picture of their avatar for nametags upon registration? or are we going to deal with that at a later date?

The other delay is that we’re trying to secure some of the major sponsors so that we can maybe adjust the expense per attendee, is it not?

Is there an official forum or place for SLCC discussion? Trying to browse and keep up to date on these comments is frustrating, I’d like a place where we can start topics and keep track of our own discussions and such. Ideas?
there’s always the official SL forums under the RL Events and Meetups forum.
This is the official place for SLCC discussion. We have used the SL forums in the past, but did not have much luck as just about every thread became drama infested. On occasion, there is discussion on the SL Forums or Second Citizen forums, but its mostly just announcement links to our blog.
