Hey, don’t you think there should be a [insert blank] track?
After last year’s conference there was one point that many people suggested; more topic specific tracks. There were several times we were approached with the idea of very specific and interesting tracks. Yes, many of the track ideas that have been suggested are wonderful and great ideas and as Randal mentioned last year, we are giving you, the Second Life community the option to suggest, develop, and run that idea.
One comment that I have heard throughout this process is “Hey, is there [insert blank] track? Why not?” The answer is, because we haven’t seen a request for that particular idea. If you have a track idea, and it is not in our current offerings, please review the RFP (located here) and contact me as soon as possible at nexeus.fatale@gmail.com . We have been more than willing to help people understand, organize, and walk through the process of the RFP.
So if you don’t see a track topic listed and would like to see one, please do contact me, submit an RFP, and we will take the process from that point forward.

I was thinking there should be something for all the Second Life Bloggers and Podcasters. Not people who have blogs and/or podcasts and are in Second Life but have blogs and/or podcasts about Second Life. We are a small subset of the blogging and podcasting community aiming our content to a specific audience. How can we reach more of them? How did those who have some success get there? Is there something we can do so our followers can find out about other blogs and podcasts that might interest them? etc.

Just an idea, not a solution: Bloggers can choose a topic of interest and submit a paper or sponser that track. This of course is an alternative to having a “Blogger/Podcast Track” which is what I think you were getting at.

There’s two ways, one is submitting a track (as mentioned above) the other, is, as MadamG has pointed out, if you wanted to get together say a podcast coalition and sponsor funds for a track specific track that matches your interest, more power to you that way!
