    Submissions closed… over 25 received.
And Beth Ritter-Guth (who put together the recent BPE conference in SL) is going to be co-ordinating the in-world Edu track, working closely with the other in-world event organisers.
    Yay.
    :-)

Couple of things… in the end the total was actually 37 submissions!
    wow.

The review decisions were supposed to go out today, but a couple of the reviewers are late with their reviews, so it looks like Monday will be decision day…

    sorry bout the delay!

Is there a schedule of seminars for the education portion available.?

    Hi,

I’m a presenter with the BBC World Service - that’s the BBC’s international radio arm. We are doing a special programme looking at SL and are interested in finding some interesting in-world stories. We’d be looking to interview both RL and SL personalities, through the new VOIP capabilities of SL. If you think that you have an interesting education story for us, please get in touch.

Rather than posting here mail me at madeleine.morris@bbc.co.uk

    Thanks

    Hi,

I may be blind, but I wonder if it’s possible to follow some or the entire congress somewhere online or in-world SL?

I’ll be unable to make it to Chicago due to a big celebration in my family on the 24th.

    Yours

    Hi Ken,

We are still finalizing the in-world event locations. The whole program is being streamed into SL, and we should have several hosting locations set up. There will also be a few events happening in-world only. I realize that SLCC is not far away now, but hold on a little longer for details!

I’m thinking about attending, but need to know the exact schedule, first — what sessions are being offered at which times. When will that be available?

  14. Comment by KJ Hax on August 5, 2007 1:40 pm

    Schedule is here:

With just a few days left, I wanted to thank you and all those working on the Education Track for all of the exceptional work that has gone into your area. We are looking forward to contributing what little we can and learning from (and having fun with) all of the panelists.
    Barry
